Yagurli Tours is an Indigenous owned business and operated by the Gangalidda and Garawa Peoples. 

It is located in Burketown on the Albert River in the Gulf of Carpentaria. Burketown’s location in the Queensland state is 2115km north west of Brisbane, 900km east of Cairns and approximately 30km inland from the Gulf of Carpentaria. 

The Gangalidda People are recognised as the traditional owners of land in and around Burketown and are part of Australia’s rich cultural heritage that dates back more than 70,000 years. It is one of the world’s oldest continual
cultures. It has a diversity of language, art, dance, with a core primary cultural value of looking after country and living sustainably. These are highly prised values in a modern urbanised world.
