Yagurli Tours is based in Burketown, in the Gulf of Carpentaria in north western Queensland and eastern Northern Territory, a regional area known as the Gulf Savannah. It is one of Australia's most adventurous drives, known as the Savannah Way. This is a remote part of Australia with relatively few travellers. That is something special, and it also requires a planned approach.

There are a couple of lodges and hotels and ample camping sites.

Note that you need a camping permit to stay on country. These permits can be purchased either online or directly at the Burketown Visitor Centre when in town

After completing the application and payment has been successfully processed, you will, within a few minutes, receive an email confirmation from Burketown Visitor Centre with your booking information.

Entry, fishing and camping permits are required to access Gangalidda-Garawa land. These permits are to help protect and preserve Aboriginal heritage and culture, safeguard the natural environment and to promote visitor safety.
